Calcium silicate is an inorganic substance that can exist in different forms: CaSiO3 or Ca2SiO4. It is described as a very fine, white or off-white powder with low bulk density and high physical water absorption. It is commonly used as anti-caking agent in food ingredients.

Applicable Scope

It is applicable to equipments and pipeline facilities in chemical industry, electricity and heat supply network.

Description All three grades of blanket have the same excellent chemical stability compared with their raw materials: Cerafiber, Cerachem Fiber and Cerachrome Fiber spun bulk. They have excellent strength before and after heating. They have superior acoustic as well as thermal insulation characteristics. Available in a wide range of densities and thicknesses allow for the most effective deployment of the superior thermal characteristics in a wide variety of applications. • Cerablanket blanket: 1260°C (2192°F)
• Cerachem blanket: 1425°C (2192°F)
• Cerachrome blanket: 1425°C (2372°F)

The maximum continuous use temperature depends on the application. Unaffected by most chemicals except strong alkalis, phosphoric acid and molybdenum. For further advise please contact your local Morgan Advanced Materials partner.

Stainless Steel Roll Jacketing is manufactured from T-304 and T-316 prime grade Stainless Steels. Stainless Steel is available in smooth, stucco embossed, or 3/16″ corrugated roll jacketing, and deep corrugated sheets. Jacketing is recommended for insulated piping, tanks, and vessels less than 8 feet in diameter. Deep corrugated sheets are recommended for diameters greater than 8 feet.

Aluminum jacketing (also called cladding) is available in smooth, stucco embossed, and 3/16 corrugated (cross-crimped) finishes. For larger surfaces, box-rib and deep corrugated sheets are also available.
